Religious Formation
- is a process through which adults, children and families are invited
into a deepening experience of the way of life expressed by God
through, with and in Jesus.
Classes in Religious Formation are condcted for 1st. - 8th levels on
Monday evenings from 7:15-8:30 pm; for K - 8th levels on Tuesday or
Wednesday afternoons from 4:15-5:30 pm.
There are approximately 700 children enrolled inour program.

Evangelization Ministry
- assists other parish ministries so that they may become instruments
for the sharing of the Gospel message. They also develop and support
parish wide faith sharing efforts. For additional information please

Small Faith Communities - are
groups of parishioners who gather in homes to pray, to share in the
Scriptures and grow together in faith. For additional information

Liturgical
Adoration Society - offers an
opportunity to spend time in private prayer before the Blessed
Sacrament, every Wednesday. Exposition starts at 11:00 A.M., and
concludes with Benediction at 5:30 P.M.
The Altar Society -
is composed of dedicated parishioners who clean the altars and care for
the altar cloths, vestments and linens. They assist in the care of the
floral arrangements.
The Liturgy Committee
- is a working group of parishioners who are responsible for assisting
the pastor and pastoral staff in the preparation and presentation of
meaningful special events for the honor and glory of God.
Lectors - are
parishioners who are trained to proclaim the Word of God at all Masses
and other liturgical events.
Eucharistic Ministers -
are a trained group of parishioners who assist the priest in the
distribution of Communion at Mass, at the Sands Point Nursing Home, to
the homebound and hospitalized.
Music Ministry -
enhances our liturgical prayer. The choir supports the singing at the
10:30 A.M. Sunday Mass and participates in various other liturgical
celebrations throughout the year. Cantors lead the congregation in the
singing at our other Masses. A children's choir meets each fall and
sings at the 4:00 P.M. Christmas Liturgy.
Ushers - are men
and women who assist in the welcoming and seating of the congregation
at all liturgical celebrations. They also take up the monetary
collection and assist in maintaining proper decorum for services.
Altar Servers - are
boys and girls 4th grade and above. They serve at Mass and other
Liturgical celebrations.
Family Mass - is offered during the school year at the 9:00 A.M. Sunday
Mass in the School Church where the focus is on celebrating with
families.
Pre-Cana - is a
program of spiritual and moral guidance to help prepare engaged couples
for a Christina married life.
Wedding Rehearsals - are
overseen by volunteers who assist with the needs in preparation for the
ceremony.
Baptism Ministry -
prepares parents to baptize their child into our faith. On the day of
the ceremony we welcome each person and direct them to their
appropriate seats in the church.
Baptisms: are
celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 1:30 pm. In order to better
appreciate this sacrament, parents meet with Sr. Peggy for an interview
and then attend our Baptismal Program. The Baptismal Program is offerec
on the first Wednesday at 7:30 pm. from September to June (second
Wednesday during July). Godparents are also welcome to attend. Please

Rite of Christian
Initiation for Adults (RCIA) - is a process for adults and
children 8 years and older who wish to become Catholic or have been
Baptized and need to receive Confirmation and /or First Eucharist.
Service
Social Ministry - attempts to carry
our love of God into action in service of our neighbors. Volunteers
staff our office to assist in meeting the needs of those who come to us.
Bereavement - is a
support group that provides comfort and support for anyone who has
recently experienced a loss. A Children's Bereavement group, that meets
in 8 week cycles, is offered by a certified social worker. Parent
consultation is also available.
Consolation Ministry - assists
grieving families with the planning of the Funeral Liturgy and the
members serve as greeters, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, and cake
bakers.
Spanish Apostolate
- serves the spiritual and temporal needs of our growing Hispanic

St. Vincent de Paul Society
- is a dedicated parish group of men and women have joined together to
help their neighbors in need. They visit the homes of those in need in
our parish and assist them materially and spiritually.
Knights of Columbus & Columbiettes - are Catholic service
organizations that sponsor fund raising events. They provide
scholarships to Catholic High Schools and to our diocesan seminary.
The Guild of St. Peter's
- is a community of women parishioners who come together for spiritual,
social and service programs.
Gargoyle - is our
parish magazine that is published quarterly. Parishioners provide the
articles and pictures.
Thrift Shop - is a
parish run project. The proceeds help supplement the parish income.
Respect Life - is
committee that strives to educate people on the dignity of all life
from the moment of conception to the time of natural death.
Book Rack - provides literature for sale on various spiritual topics,
including books for children.
Girl Scouts -
provides an atmosphere that develops healthy self esteem, independence
and the ability for girls to learn good communication skills.
Boy Scouts - is
committed to promote family togetherness and to provide an educational
program for boys, building character, responsibility and promoting
physical fitness.
Christian Youth
Organization (CYO) - is an athletic program for youth that is
coordinated and coached by adults in the parish.
Home/Hospital Visitation
- visits and comforts parishioners in hospitals and homebound.
